On September 27th, Inspired Martial Arts of Baton Rouge on Highland Road was host to a girl scout brownie meeting, taught by 7th Degree Black Belt Master Benson, in which they covered perseverance and athletic fair play for one of their patches. There were nearly 15 girls participating, and all not only learned what perseverance is but also participated in several drills to show perseverance. The brownie troop at Inspired Martial Arts of Baton Rouge also participated in an obstacle course to challenge them mentally and physically. They had to use the lesson of perseverance to overcome obstacles to challenge their balance, speed, agility, focus and listening skills. At the end of the one hour meeting, everyone, including the troop leaders, had a blast and learned that perseverance is not only needed daily, but sometimes can be fun as well. At the end, the girls all gave a big Martial Arts “HIYAAA”! and were happy to have had their meeting at Inspired Martial Arts of Baton Rouge.
